Fard is an Egyptian non-governmental organization (NGO) founded and registered in March 2013 under registration number 4848 with the Egyptian Ministry of Social Solidarity. Fard's vision is to become the leading regional NGO fostering and investing in individuals to fulfill their potential and have a positive impact in their community.
Children and Youth
Fard Foundation aims to provide individuals with access to high quality formal and informal education targeting school drop-out children from the refugee community and Egyptian host communities. Education plays an important role in protecting children from the heightened risk of violence, exploitation and child labor. We believe a good education is key for empowering the individual to fulfill his/her full potential.
Fard Foundation Livelihood Program aims at improving self-reliance and livelihoods of Egyptian and refugee populations. It provides opportunities to beneficiaries to gain skills through vocational training which will increase their chances of finding gainful employment and achieving economic self-reliance thus contributing to the income of their families and enhancing their well-being.
Fard Foundation aims to establish a link between the beneficiaries and local market/businesses and provide opportunities for youth who have dropped out of schools to find an alternative path to employment and career building while our educational program works on providing them with basic educational skills.
Fard Foundation aims to provide life-enhancing services to refugee and host community members. This includes awareness raising, psycho-social support services, social cohesion initiatives through cultural and sports activities. Within the holistic approach of investing in individuals, Fard Foundation will assist individuals in emergency situations -within its capacity- as needed to enable them to engage fully in improving their education and livelihoods.
