The Community consists of two bodies (a) the Executive (b) the Assembly Each body has with different functions.

The South Sudanese Community in Egypt consists of 47 associations representing a wide diversity of ethnic communities as well as 10 professional syndicates which are also under this umbrella.

It take cares of community issues and liaise between the embassy of the Republic of South Sudan in Cairo and competent organizations working in the field of humanitarian such as local welfare communities, Egyptian associations/organizations, International NGOS such as UNHCR, IOM, ICRC, Caritas, CRS and others Embassies in Egypt.

We are responsible for about 46,000 South Sudanese residing in Egypt. About 7,000 of them are students studying at Egyptian universities and higher institutes while there are and over 10, 000 students studying at refugee schools in Cairo and other governorates in Egypt and at the KGS, primary and secondary stages.
